What They Do:

Clinical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians collect samples and perform tests to analyze body fluids, tissue, and other substances. Many of these professionals work in the hospital setting as well as medical and diagnostic laboratories and doctor’s offices.

Minimum Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technician Associate’s Degree: 2 years
• Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologists Bachelor's Degree: 3-4 years
